Pre-Requisite Course:
Expert Clinical reasoning w/ Virtual Mentorship
This is a 20 hour hybrid online course. Approximately 16 hours total for online video and didactic content with an additional 4 hours of live mentored discussion/case work.
This course is a continuation of out Expert Clinical Reasoining Course where we take a deeper look at Spine related conditions from the Upper cervical spine to the Sacroiliac joint.
On Demand Content: (16 CEU’s)
1. Medical Screening with focus on lumbar and pelvic conditions (week 1)
2. Back pain classification and education of patients specific to back pain (week 2)
3. Lumbar joint and soft tissue deficits (week 3 &4)
a. ID patient patterns
b. Intervention strategies for Lumbar pain associated with joint and soft tissue mobility deficits
c. Associated motor control deficits
4. Sacroiliac (SI) joint and soft tissue deficits (week 5)
a. ID patterns and intervention strategies for SI pain associated with joint mobility deficits and soft tissue irritability
b. Associated motor control deficits
5. Lumbar radiculopathy and spinal stenosis (week 6)
a. ID patient pattern
b. Interventions for back pain with radiating symptoms
6. Spinal stenosis (week7)
7. Chronic back pain and affect on motor control (week 7)
8. Medical Screening/examination for thoracic and rib joint and intervention strategies (week 8)
a. ID and interventions for thoracic and costovertebral joint mobility deficits and soft tissue irritability
9. Medical Screening with focus on upper and mid cervical conditions (week 9)
10. Neck pain classification and education of patients specific to neck pain (week 10)
11. Mid cervical and upper thoracic joint and soft tissue deficits (week 11 & 12)

b. Intervention strategies for Neck pain associated with joint and soft tissue mobility deficits
c. Associated motor control deficits
12. Upper Cervical joint and soft tissue deficits & cervicogenic headaches (week 13)
a. ID patient patterns
b. Interventions strategies for headaches and suboccipital pain associated with joint mobility deficits and soft tissue irritability
c. Associated motor control deficits
13. Cervical radiculopathy (week 14)

14. Interventions considerations for persistent neck pain (week 15)
15. Surgical considerations for neck and back pain (week 15)
16. Summary of content and final exam.
